AI Penetration Testing
HunterX is an AI-assisted penetration testing platform for authorized security work. Unlike a conventional scanner that emits candidate detections, HunterX combines AI-assisted reasoning with the open-source security-tool ecosystem to carry each finding through discovery, verification, proof, PoC and report generation.
What AI-assisted means in HunterX
- Reasoning over observations — HunterX reasons over canonical observations produced by parsed and normalized tool output, rather than treating raw tool output as a verdict.
- Hypothesis-driven discovery — the platform forms, tests and refines hypotheses about the target, including hypothesis-driven investigation of unknown or application-specific behaviors.
- Evidence-gated confidence — confidence is a versioned, weighted policy over named factors (detection evidence, behavioral evidence, independent verification, PoC reproducibility, evidence quality, scope certainty, target stability). It is never a raw AI belief or a universal percentage.
- Explainable validation — every validation verdict and finding transition records its reason and evidence.
HunterX does not claim guaranteed discovery rates or automatic exploitation of every finding. AI assistance supports the analyst; authorization, scope and safety guards are enforced by the platform.
The AI-assisted workflow
DISCOVER → FINGERPRINT → REASON → HYPOTHESIZE → PROBE → VERIFY → PROVE →
POC → REPLAY → CORRELATE → REPORT
AI penetration testing for authorized programs
- Bug bounty hunters — evidence-backed findings, minimal reproducible PoCs and report-ready packages reduce time from detection to submission.
- Penetration testers — structured missions and professional reports with remediation and retest planning.
- Red teams — mission orchestration, attack-path planning, cloud/SaaS intelligence and knowledge-graph correlation.
- Security engineers — validated findings with PoC, impact and confidence instead of candidate noise.
- DevSecOps — CI/CD integration, SARIF export and REST API.
Safety-by-design
HunterX enforces scope and authorization guards, safety policy, sandboxing, evidence-gated confidence, secret masking and hardened XML parsing. The proof engine is not a weaponization engine: data destruction, persistence, reverse shells, denial of service and mass data extraction are never scheduled.
AI provider support
AI reasoning flows through a decoupled AI provider layer — the platform is designed so agents and engines reach providers only through a single port. This keeps AI use controlled, testable and replaceable.
Getting started
Responsible use
AI-assisted penetration testing with HunterX is authorized security work only. Obtain written authorization before testing any system. See Responsible Use.
